Retained Death Benefit

Your circumstances may have changed however you may need or want to keep a portion of your coverage. We understand that although your needs have changed or premium payments have become a financial burden you want to leave something to your immediate or extended family or simply cover remaining debts or final expenses. VistaLife provides you the opportunity to do so through its exclusive Retained Death Benefit (RDB) program.

Our RDB program is just that, it provides you the opportunity to retain a portion of the policy’s coverage (up to 25%), receive an immediate lump sum cash payment and free yourself from the burden of future premium payments. The process and procedure is identical to above with the exception that the valuation and upfront cash payment on an identical policy will be reduced given that a portion of the policy will be retained for your designated beneficiary. The valuation is based only on the ceded portion taking into account the full annual premiums required to maintain the policy.

Simply put, this option provides you the peace of mind of contributing to your family’s welfare, the benefit of an upfront cash payment to fund your lifestyle and relief from future premium payments which are now available to make life a little more comfortable.

You will be required to provide the following:

A completed and executed VistaLife application form
(all insureds on joint policies)
The original of your insurance policy
(if unavailable, a copy will be requested from the insurer)
Two (2) pieces of government issued photo ID
